Cooper Rush
Rush gets the job. He does not inherit Tua’s forecast.
Cooper Rush starts at Pittsburgh after Tua Tagovailoa was ruled out. Rush took the first-team reps after Tagovailoa left Thursday’s practice.[1]
Rush joined Atlanta in late July and missed the spring installation. The Falcons say he has been catching up in their new system.[1]
I would compare Rush with the actual quarterbacks available, not pencil him in because the vacancy looks inviting. The start gives him opportunity; it does not transfer Tua’s skill set or forecast. A new name under center is no license to invent a new target tree.[1]
Compare your active QB alternatives before 1:00 p.m. ET. After Final, check the official passing and receiving lines. A starting assignment alone cannot tell us the workload distribution.
